WE ARE BACK!

PUBLICATION RESUMES AFTER FIVE-YEAR HIATUS

The first issue of the Kenton County Observer newspaper was printed in 1994 with a mission to print good news instead of the bad. womanWithNewspaper.jpg (2978 bytes)The editors were of the opinion that the bad news could be had just by turning on the television, the radio or by reading the other newspapers.

Apparently1 the people of Kenton County were in agreement since the paper was very popular and widely read. Within three months of it's first printing, readers asked for and received the free subscription service and advertising support saw an impressive surge.

By the end of the first year, reader surveys had been conducted and the Observer received high marks and continued ad support. New feature and content were added and the paper continued to grow even bigger and better. Throughout this time, the Editors and the staff never lost sight of their original concept of bringing the good news.

In 1996, a death in the family forced the editors to publish the final issue. This decision was made with regret, but with the situation being as it was there was no alternative or choice in the matter.

Now, the Observer is making it's return and the editors and staff are ready to publish the best Kenton County Observer newspaper ever. And as always, reader advice and comments are very much welcomed.

The staff of the KCO is very pleased to be bringing the newspaper back into circulation again! We have some old faces returning, as well as new and fresh faces... and we will all be working together to bring you the very best "good news" newspaper possible!

Fred L. Stilt II returns to serve as the Genera Manager once again anc he brings back the same vision and dedication to the readers that the KCO was always known for.

Virginia Lewis also has returned to serve as one of our Editors. Ginny is bringing back with her the great features and programs that made the KCO so popular with our readers. She brings her experience and editorial expertise that will assure that the KCO continues to be the best possible newspaper of it's kind.

We are very pleased to welcome Donna M. Stilt as our new Editor. Donna is the cherished wife of Fred Stilt, and he is very happy that she is working with us to bring the KCO back to our readers! She brings her own fresh, new ideas and perspectives to the newspaper to make it an even better publication than ever before.

We want to say hello to all of you who are new readers as well as those of you who have been our readers in the past. It's great to be back!
